Together with administrative support staff, Provecta currently employs 30 engineering and technical staff. The following is a brief statement of the experience of Provecta's senior personnel:
Andrew Oates - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec., Master Engineering Management
Managing Director. Over twenty years experience in the electricity industry. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of the delivery of major control and instrumentation projects from concept to completion, utilising a number of different control system vendors equipment.
Anthony (Tony) Buncombe - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec., Master Engineering Management
Engineering Manager. Over twenty years experience in electricity industry. Experienced in project management, design management, operations, maintenance, design, configuration, installation and commissioning of power station control systems, protection systems and instrumentation.
Don Parker - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec., B.Sc. , MEng
Principal Engineer. For the past twenty nine years Don Parker has been involved in power plant control systems design, installation and commissioning including use of advanced control strategies, benchmarking and tuning. Extensive project coordination experience of control systems for drum and once-through boilers, at both greenfield and rehabilitation sites.
Brad Chin - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec.
Senior Engineer. Twenty two years experience in the electricity industry. Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and commissioning of control systems for power station applications. Experience in project management and control systems tuning for major projects within Australia and overseas.
Peter Lane - B.App.Sc. (Hons) Industrial Chemistry. GRACI
Senior Engineer. Twenty years experience in the design, commissioning and project management of control systems, using PLC's, SCADA systems and DCS's from various vendors. Specialist in the fields of water treatment, materials handling, chemical control and the environment.
Ron Mastus - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec., B.Sc.
Senior Engineer - Systems Integration. Thirteen years experience in power plant control systems design, installation, commissioning and project management. Specialist in the integration of systems from various vendors, including network design and implementation, custom software development, Unix and Microsoft NT configuration and administration. Extensive experience with Yokogawa DCS.
David Parslow - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec., Master Engineering Management
Senior Engineer. Seventeen years experience in all facets of process control system design and implementation. Four years experience as an on-site engineer at Wallerawang Power Station involved in the Yokogawa DCS upgrade. Recent responsibilities include being the Station Plant Control System Design Manager for the Tarong North Project.
Phillip Walsh - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec.
Senior Engineer. Fourteen years experience in the electricity industry. Experience in the design, implementation and commissioning of control systems and electrical distribution systems for power station applications, particularly in the use of PLC's, SCADA systems and DCS's.
Simon Wedgwood - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec.
Senior Engineer. Seventeen years experience in all facets of process control system design and implementation, working at all NSW power stations including Eraring, Bayswater & Mt Piper. Expertise in major PLC/SCADA and DCS projects, including project managing the successful completion of a multi-million dollar SCADA system at Bayswater Power Station.
Neil Ronan - B.Eng. (Hons) Elec.,
Principal Engineer. Nineteen years experience and expertise in the management, design, implementation, operation and commissioning of process control, protection, monitoring and electrical systems in the energy and minerals processing industries.
Bruce Smith - B.Eng Tech, ADipEng (Mech).
Engineering Specialist Operations and Asset Management. Seventeen years experience in operations, asset management, maintenance and commissioning of power generation plant including developing cost effective operational and control measures to enhance the overall plant performance and efficiency.
